Twin Cities Water Treatment & Pricing FAQs
Compare costs, understand the included extras and know what to ask before choosing treatment.
How much does an installed water treatment system cost?
Whole-home filtration and softening starts at $2,999 installed. Dual-tank city systems are $3,999; salt-free and dual-tank well systems are $4,499; iron and sulfur treatment is $5,999. Standalone tank RO is $799 and HW800 AlkaPro tankless RO is $999. Prices are in US dollars for standard installations; confirm the final configuration and price during your consultation.
What is included with a whole-home system?
Every whole-home package includes a traditional tank reverse osmosis drinking-water system, professional installation and a system walkthrough. Upgrade the included RO to the HW800 AlkaPro tankless model for $200.
Do you offer a warranty or best-price guarantee?
Systems come with a lifetime warranty, with system-specific written terms provided during consultation. We also beat lower written quotes for comparable equipment and professional installation. Submit the quote before installation is scheduled; eligible best-price customers receive priority booking.
Are financing options available?
Yes. We believe everyone deserves access to cleaner water, so we keep pricing transparent and offer financing options to help make it affordable. Ask about available financing during your free phone consultation, and confirm the applicable terms before choosing financing.
What is the difference between a water softener and a filter?
A softener reduces hardness minerals through ion exchange, mainly to limit scale and spotting. A filter uses media such as carbon or sediment cartridges to address other concerns like taste, odor, or particles. They do different jobs.
Can I combine softening and filtration?
Yes. Many homes use more than one system — for example, a softener for the whole house and a drinking-water system at the kitchen sink. Whether you need both depends on your water and goals.
How do I choose a drinking-water system?
Start with what you want to change and what's in your water. Then compare options by the reductions they're documented to achieve, the space under your sink, and ongoing filter replacement.
Where should I start if I have a private well?
Start with a current test from an accredited laboratory. The Minnesota Department of Health publishes guidance for private well owners. Treatment planning follows the results.
How much space does a system need?
It varies. Under-sink systems fit in a standard cabinet; whole-home equipment and softeners need floor space near the main line, plus room for service and, often, a drain.
What maintenance should I expect?
Most systems need some upkeep — filter or media replacement, salt for softeners, or periodic checks. Intervals depend on the system, your water, and how much you use.
What affects the cost of installation?
Published prices cover standard installations. Plumbing changes, drain and electrical access, extra treatment stages and the available space can affect the final scope. Well-water configurations depend on test results. Confirm your final price at consultation.
How do I confirm service availability?
Share your city or ZIP code through the service-area check or consultation form, and we'll confirm directly.
